MANTUTIA: Good morning, this is Mantutia Melchizedek.
Roxie: Good morning, Mantutia; we haven’t heard from you in a long time! Welcome back.
“Peace” will be the entry portal at the global level
MANTUTIA: Yes, I have been quite busy, as have the various teams I work with. I, of course, work with and for Machiventa Melchizedek and the Triumvirate. I wish to report this morning that as the Projects Coordinator under Machiventa, that we have many projects that have come to fruition, and have developed to the point where they are well developed and useful, and that there is a meaning to their existence. The emphasis of my report this morning is that we have now begun the process of joining/bringing these groups together—not all of them at once, but the ones that are related to each other, particularly the ones that can bring about a synergism in their union.
This is the reason why This One was sent to South Africa to be at the conference that involved “Peace Through Tourism.” Peace will be the entry portal for the social sustainability concepts to the global level. These two projects of social sustainability and peace have so much in common; one is not possible without the other, and so there is a synergism, a symbiosis between these projects that are necessary to be joined. And, we have already begun to bring other individuals who are involved with peace into the presence of social sustainability concepts. They will be reading the materials we have sent to them from This One, and others, and they will be under the influence of options for engaging the joined topics of peace and social sustainability so that those who are amenable to this union will come forward and work with us.
Why is peace necessary?
You recall that many in your generation—you being in your 60’s and 70’s now—were part of the ‘60’s Peace Movements, Marches and Demonstrations, this was the first visible evidence globally of a Peace Movement. Now, you see offices for peace and associations, groups and foundations, and so on, involved in peace throughout the world. It is obvious to us and to you who are aware of the core values of social sustainability and the additional three core value-emotions to make a total of six, that peace must evolve to accept its foundation in the three core values of social sustainability. Very few, if any, ask the “why” question: “Why is peace necessary? Why is peace important to individuals and even to the whole species?” The “why” of the intention for peace is little known to most people, who can produce five, ten or thirty minutes of examples of why peace is necessary and useful, but they are not able to articulate the “why” peace is necessary, or what states clearly the basis of peace. The same questions can be asked of “women’s rights” and can be applied to social justice, social equity and to “the common good.” These are all known globally as the foundations necessary for peaceful nations, yet none of them can point to the values that formed the very foundation upon which they are founded.
Once these movements and groups—whether it is peace or whether those who are involved in social justice and social equity—become informed of these six core values, they will be able to point to those values as the basis for their work and validate what they are doing, and further, they will be able to validate their programs and projects of peace and social equity to the whole world. And everyone across the world will understand their rationale and justification for their projects. We anticipate a rather, almost meteoric or even logarithmic growth of the understanding and appreciation of these six core values within the next ten years. It will be slow, just as any logarithmic or exponential curve is slow, but it will build and build and build until it becomes well known throughout the world as are cell phones and the Internet, and in fact will have been spread throughout the world by those technological media.
Bringing selective groups together
We are selective in the groups that we are bringing together, as we wish the most fundamental groups to form the foundation for other developments across the world. Another one that is essential is education: “Why is education important?” Many people, most everyone, can give you dozens of reasons why education is important, but they cannot articulate the “why” question. “Why” is education needed and necessary? What is the intention of education from daycare level through post-doctoral studies, and particularly for the era until graduation from secondary schools or technical schools? The reason for the existence of education has been lost, and that is why you see such a muddling about education, fumbling their programs and not knowing how to achieve results. Educational professionals have lost track of the intention for education. Even professionals who have doctoral degrees in education strategies do not understand the intention of education.
What is the vision-intention of education?
What is important now is to understand the vision-intention of education, and then to design educational programs from preschool through secondary schools to fulfill the needs of sustainability for your species, families, communities and for organizations. Without intentional programs that consciously [apply] the principles of social sustainability, the slow enculturation of children into the ways of social sustainability will be very slow, or even non-existent. The family is the primary institution of enculturation, with education as secondary. As the primary means of enculturation, the family today in developed democracies are not in step with the intentions of survival, existence, social stability and sustainability, they have failed miserably in its purpose. Secondly, the family, as it exists in these nations has failed to assist children to develop and grow into the potential that every individual brings into life. It is our hope that education will become the first focal point, after peace, that social sustainability would become invested. Next, there would be the association with sustainable family dynamics, and this will eventually lead to sustainable health care programs.
Growth of socially sustainable principles
Socially sustainable principles will eventually become invested in all major social institutions—the family, education, justice, government and so on. These are the principle institutional foundations of a functional society. It will become obvious, poignantly obvious, that the economic/financial sector of society is vastly askew of its functions to assist societies and civilization to survive. If that trend continues, it will be the primary means for the collapse of the human civilization on Urantia; yet, it is one sector that can probably change more quickly than almost any other sector. To do so requires the understanding of the principles of social sustainability by mayors, city councils, city managers, county commissioners, state legislative individuals, congresses and parliaments of the world. If they begin to understand these values, then they can begin to invest those values in the criteria performance of their statutes and of their social policies for economic/financial stability.
Exponential growth in last three centuries
We have accomplished a great deal in the last three centuries, worldwide, and our projects too have grown exponentially. It may appear that it is not even an arithmetic progression, but it is exponential as we view it, and it will become even more rapid in the next few years, as your world populations make peace and social stability, let alone social sustainability, more and more difficult to achieve without major social cataclysms.
I am open to questions concerning this if you have them, and when those questions expire, then Machiventa will be here to provide his presence and his wisdom with you.
Roxie: Thank you, Mantutia; that was a wonderful synopsis of knowledge for us. I appreciate it very much.
Understanding the “what” and the “why”
MMc: Mantutia, interesting. You say that most of us haven’t come to grips with the “why,” the why of peace, the why of women’s rights and all of the rest of the things you have mentioned, and then the “why” of education. We find the “why” is within those values that you have given us, the three core values and the three emotional-values. This is terribly interesting to me; I just want to make sure this is actually what you are saying. That it is these values that explain why we should have peace, and why women should be valued as much as men, et cetera. Can you tell me again that this is true?
MANTUTIA: Yes, this is true.
MMc: I understand that in order for this to move forward, the values must be learned, understood, and that this is a beginning for what you plan to do.
MANTUTIA: Yes. Machiventa has instructed me that I am to assist you in your own personal “arts of inquiry.” One question that is primary to the elucidation of this topic is the question that is necessary for you to ask is this, “ ‘Why’ or ‘how’ or ‘what’ is it about this topic, about peace, family and women’s rights, social justice, social equity and so on that has caused us to miss using or investigating these values?” The answer to that question is that those are simply beliefs: You believe that peace is necessary to have social stability, so that societies can grow progressively and constructively, and so on—that is a belief. What is missing from the awareness are two things: First the three core values of quality of life, growth and equality are missing, and the most damning thing that is missing from the consciousness of individuals who accept these projects as fundamental to human society is the assumption that those beliefs are sufficient unto themselves.
Those belief-sets assume that everyone knows why peace is important. This assumption has become dominant in the minds of people for over 200 years. Most people even fifty thousand years ago, understood that peace is beneficial, but they did not know why, and they did not understand the necessity for peace, and neither did the peace marchers in the ‘60s, and neither do the peace advocates in the world today. The basis for peace is that it allows the full expression of the three core values in individuals, in families, communities, societies, nations and your global civilization. Without peace, individuals are unable to pursue an improving quality of life. Without peace, they are unable to grow into their potential. And without peace, there is no equality between individuals to improve the quality of their life or grow into their potential. Without peace there is absolutely no equality between the oppressors and the oppressed; between the aggressors and the victims; between the invaders and the subjugated populations.
What is the intention of education?
When you examine the foundations and basis for education, you must ask the same question: “What is the intention of education?” Well surely, it must be that it supports the longevity of the species. Everything must work towards that, and I would suggest that you include the illustration that This One has devised that points all efforts of families, communities and societies and economies and governments to the sustainability of the species: The reproduction and enculturation of every next-generation is the responsibility of the family to support the survival of the species. Education must educate people to understand that their existence is to help support the species, and in doing so, they must have a functional, sustainable family dynamic within the family that teaches the enculturation of the principles of social sustainability. Organizations in a society that have chosen to move toward being sustainable, incorporate the three core values into their founding documents, their vision, intention, philosophy, mission, goals and objectives; and, particularly in their daily decision-making processes. These three values become the arbiters of good decision-making in all social matters, topics and issues.

Adding 3 core values to governments, corporations and organizations
Corporations and governments, of course, must also make those decisions with those three core values. The reason why organizations, societies, governments and nations have failed—all have failed in the history of Urantia—is because they did not make decisions that were invested with these three core values. Those three core values require that you grow, that you take into account the conditions that surround you and affect you. And when I say “you,” in this case—as a whole corporation, whether it is General Electric, Shell Oil, General Motors or any of the other huge corporations and organizations of the world—that they take these three core values into account in their decision-making so that families are supported, the communities are supported, and that ultimately the species and societies are supported, not for five years or fifty years but five hundred years and five thousand years.
Yes, this is long-term, but it is something that must be held in mind by everyone who affects the future, and everyone does. You are not insignificant as individuals; you affect the whole as much as the whole affects you. It is our hope through the Correcting Time, in the introduction of the values of social sustainability and its concepts and principles, that there would be a conscious agreement between organizations and individuals and societies, communities and families, to support the same value system. When that happens, then you will see social stability occur. Then you will see, very obviously in the world who are the aggressors. Peaceful nations will also know exactly how to proceed to enforce the peace without aggression.
The practicalities of policy-making
These are not pipe dreams; these are practicalities that international, national and domestic policy-makers understand this already. It simply takes willpower to understand how to do that, with the three core values being universal to all people, of all nations, of all ethnic groups, or all races and cultures and nationalities. The commonality of those values then becomes understood by everyone, and everyone who wants to have a sustainable future will begin to support them. It will become quite obvious what behaviors and what policies are detrimental to the sustainability of the future, and the stability of nations, economies and societies. The most egregious example in this nation is your economy. Continued sequestering of financial assets solely to a few individuals and organizations will cause the downfall of this society and nation and become global in its impact. This must be healed, not by giving money away, but by philanthropic programs that use the three core values as the performance standard for applying for grants and for the criteria to evaluate the performance of the programs that receive grants.
Three core values must be taught to children at home
Surely, one trillion dollars would make a huge impact upon the world, which is only a small portion of the global wealth. If one trillion dollars were invested in programs that use the three core values of social sustainability and the three core value-emotions of social sustainability as the standards or requirements of proposals and the standards of performance, then you would see immense progress easily within two or three years, let alone five or ten. So, yes, the three core values undergird all things, and they must be understood, and they must be taught before school begins in the first grade. It must be taught at home; it must be taught in preschool and invested in the reading materials of children. It is a way of re-interpreting a history of your world, of your nations and societies in ways that indicate sustainable and unsustainable decision-making and actions that have jeopardized peace in the past, as learning lessons for the future.
Wisdom gathering about successes and failures
It is paramount in these projects that somewhere along the line that your historians stop writing about the history of failures and successes, but also become historians of wisdom—human sustainable wisdom—not just in archives that are hidden away, but actual, operational libraries that are online for gathering wisdom about the various aspects of human living and human societies, and human conduct, and human commerce. Wisdom gathering has been done by many people, some of you have read in Nancy J. Turner’s two book set “Ancient Pathways: Ancestral Knowledge,” that the indigenous people of North America in the Northwest have a history of many, many centuries of wisdom gathering concerning the use of herbs and plants for their daily use in thousands of different ways. They have done wisdom gathering to enhance their survival and their sustainability, and have been successful, at least until the invasion of the Anglo-Saxon Europeans who came to this continent in the 17th Century. Now, those wisdoms are being lost to the detriment of the sustainability of those indigenous cultures. Yet, your world, your civilization of Urantia is a culture unto itself that must begin gathering wisdom about its stability and sustainability, and particularly it must become a learning civilization, a learning organization to learn how to adapt to changing conditions.
Adapting to changing conditions
You recall that we have said that it is not changing conditions that have terminated or brought to a close, societies and civilizations and nations, but the fact that those nations failed to adapt to changing conditions. There is no guide how to adapt, unless you begin applying these three core values. Once you see change occur in your society, your economy and your governments, and in with people and the trends of people and society, then you can use the three core values to know how to adapt to the changes so that you not only survive, but remain stable and remain viable. Then you can have ongoing, continuing economies without disruption, without need for revolution and rebellion. And so you will begin the process of learning how to adapt to those changing conditions.
Disparity of the distribution of wealth
I will gave you an example: In North America, here in the United States, there is great discontent among people about the disparity in the distribution of wealth, and rightly so. There is also the corporate ownership of the congress and state legislatures that have become the minions of the corporations who are able to influence those bodies easily and almost completely. This is unsustainable; this is a primary ingredient for social, political and economic rebellion. It is unfortunate that this is coming about, yet it offers a tremendous learning possibility of how to adapt to changing conditions, knowing that when these three values are kept in mind and applied small adjustments can be made in economies so that this situation of imbalance does not occur.
Assumptions that “everything is fine”
I hope you are beginning to see how absent in mind of almost everyone in your societies and in your politics, government, and in your economies and financial sectors how absent from mind these assumptions are, these values are. Everyone assumes that “everything is fine,” but that is the worst assumption that anyone can make, because when you assume that everything is fine, you are completely blind to changing conditions. And so, you think, “Well we just need to fix the old process to work better,” rather than taking the challenge of creating solutions. Yes, my friend, thank you for asking. Yes, this is very true. These values are absent from the minds of almost everyone simply because they have assumed that “everything is fine.”
MMc: You say that because no one knows why, that we have beliefs that women’s rights are good, and these various things are good—we assume that they are good, but we have not validated them. (Mantutia: That is correct.) The three core values add validity if we have the knowledge of why these things should be best.
Value statements
MANTUTIA: You are coming to the core of it. When you say, “peace is good for me, peace is good for you, peace is good for us,” that those are value statements, correct? (MMc: Yes.) You are valuing peace over aggression; you are valuing peace over hostilities, and so it is a value statement. But very few people identify those statements as value statements and then look for the values that undergird those beliefs. Very few people have done that.
MMc: Yes, because they are not used to doing that.
MANTUTIA: They are not used to doing that. You would have to go to a social anthropologist to get that kind of thinking.
MMc: Very good, thank you.
MANTUTIA: You are welcome. Are there further questions concerning this topic?
Must peace start first before social sustainability?
Student: When you talk about social sustainability and peace together, working together, and in South Africa, does peace really have to start first before you start with social sustainability?
MANTUTIA: No, you do as we have done. We developed them simultaneously. Someone will think about peace and advocate peace, and some will think about social sustainability and advocate social sustainability, and someone will eventually say, “ Well, my goodness, they have values of social sustainability that are the basis for peace.” So they join together and they become stronger. The activism is in peace. Social sustainability is not an activist program. (Student: Okay! Thank you.) You are most welcome.
Roxie: I thank you too, Mantutia! You have really tied up a lot of loose ends for me and broadened my understanding greatly. Thank you.
MANTUTIA: Thank you. It was my hope that it would lead to greater understanding. We have started with the larger concepts, and have finally ground down to the point of the “why” of these programs, and how to invest them in your thinking. This concludes my comments, and I now introduce Machiventa Melchizedek, our Planetary Manager.
MACHIVENTA: Good morning, this is Machiventa Melchizedek and I am grateful for the presence of Mantutia Melchizedek and his words of guidance and understanding to you today.
These programs can be applied immediately
We hope you are beginning to see more clearly the almost invisible work that we have been conducting, actively, for the last few centuries. It is incumbent upon all these programs to become far more apparent to you who believe in the existence of Planetary Management by a spiritual hierarchy, that these programs are coming to the forefront of your attention, and particularly before they are needed in such a grand manner. They obviously can be applied immediately, and we know that they will be, and that knowing about these programs and their application provides the understanding for the creation of sustainable societies in the future, with or without cataclysms. Social sustainability and the global spread of these values and their integration into every organization and human activity is essential to the peace of this world, its stability and its eventual social sustainability and the inauguration of the Days of Light and Life.
The awareness that these cataclysms are here and will become more so, makes it imperative that our work be accurate, that it is timely and that it be understood and understandable by the vast populations of Urantia. That is why you are seeing development of these programs, and now the joining of these programs. It is no small coincidence that the values of social sustainability have come into peace programs already. Yes, it began at the conference in South Africa in February, but it has already begun to be introduced into other peace organizations within the last week or so. It will continue that way.
Angels and Midwayers are working with Peace Workers
You can be assured that Nebadonia’s many corps of Angelic Helpers and the Midwayers have been busy investing the minds of all Peace Workers with the pre-awareness of the values of social sustainability, the truth that they contain and the usefulness that they have in store for movements of peace and peace organizations. We anticipate there will be a rapid—almost a chorus of “ah-ha” moments in the minds and upon the lips of peace workers around the world, as the ‘light goes on’ and they understand the connection between these three values and peace. It will not take too long for others to have the same “ah-ha” moment as they apply them to their professional fields, whether it is medical service, or whether it is education, government, or community projects in cities, and in urban renewals, in welfare, or whether it is grants and aids to students, and so on. These values will soon become invested in every aspect of human activities around the world, easily within the next twenty-five years. If you are young enough, you will see major changes in all societies within fifty years, which is two generations. We count this year as the beginning of the true global introduction of social sustainability with the three core values and the three core value-emotions to your world. They have something to say for everyone and to every family, and every human agency that has a human activity involved, whether it is family planning, or whether it is the care of people in terminal cancer cases—it is all relevant and these values are pointedly relevant to everyone who is making decisions for future generations.
It has been my great pleasure to work with Mantutia, and to follow the work as he has coordinated programs across your world. He is one of many dozens of Melchizedeks who is operating in the programs around the world. We operate on the same page, at the same time around the world, 24/7, as you might say. Yes, we do have times of recreation and relaxation and rejuvenation, but the work continues on without abatement. When one person steps aside for time away, another takes their place, and so we operate around the clock, around the year, all the time.
Speak up if you are on board with us
Before I leave, I wish to remind you of one thing — those people who are on board with us, please say so that they will to do God’s Will and to do Christ Michael’s Will and Nebadonia’s Will in the accomplishment of these programs through their own personal lives. Even if you are an armchair philosopher and spiritual student, you can contribute a great deal to the consciousness of your world through your mental activity and through your meditation and contemplation. Know that we will be investing you and who wish to work with us actively, that you will be upstepped, you will be getting upgrades to your mind mechanisms to work more easily and more functionally, and more completely in your work if you can contribute to your own personal life of spiritual development and your contribution of service to this world.

Understanding what “peace” is
Student: Good morning, Machiventa. My mind is just swimming with all this information you’ve given me. It is so uplifting and it is just incredible! I don’t have any questions, because I have to take time to digest it, I guess is the word, but there is one thing I do want to talk about, and that is the one about peace. I’m as guilty as anybody else when it comes to peace. I thought peace was just peace, and if you thought if you understood what the word “peace” was, well that was it. But you just opened up a whole new world to me, and it is just so incredible because now I can talk about it, and I have something to talk about to others, and thank you for that.
MACHIVENTA: You are most welcome. And we on my team truly respect your time to go apart from this session and this group this morning to have time apart to think and reflect, and contemplate on what has been said. Yes, you can have a tremendous influence upon the peace groups in your own life, whether it is on the island that you live on, or the nation that you belong to, or your culture or any other group. Everyone wants peace, and it is surprising when an association of individuals and groups do not have an Office of Peace. There is a need to establish Offices of Peace and to write charters and founding documents that are invested with these three core values; then they have a point of discussion and argument, as you say, to leverage their point thoroughly and universally with all people.

MMc: Roxanne, do you have anything to ask?
Roxie: I have a list of questions from two of our readers that harken back to our discussions on mental health but I kind of hate to leave this wonderful session of peace and the three core values and change the subject. This whole session has been so neatly tied up in a bow that I don’t want to leave this sense of euphoria.
MACHIVENTA: Let us take this as a natural break for our discussion today and use my comments to our Student’s statement as my closing, and we can now set a date for our reunion in two weeks, if you wish.
MMc: I believe that would be best for us at this point in time.
Peace
MACHIVENTA: I wish you a good day. Peace begins in your heart. Peace begins in your mind. It begins in your family. It begins as a process of learning to live peacefully in a family of peace that understands peace, and that peace is not equivalent to passivity or to becoming a victim, but that you become humbly powerful in speaking the truth of these three core values, knowing that they assist you in your personal, spiritual ascension and growth, and that of your family and your community, and your society. May peace be with you always and come to know the peace that passes all understanding forever. Amen and good day.
